Aven Financial Closes $304M Oversubscribed HELOC Securities Deal
Aven Financial's debut ABS offering raised $304.2 million backed by home equity lines of credit, earning top AAA ratings from two major agencies.
Aven Financial closed its first asset-backed securities offering at $304.2 million, with the transaction drawing enough investor demand to become oversubscribed, the Campbell, California-based company announced Oct. 30, 2026.
The senior notes in the offering, designated AVNHT, received AAA ratings from S&P Global Ratings as well as AAA (sf) ratings from Morningstar DBRS — the highest credit grades available from both agencies. Top-tier ratings on a debut ABS transaction signal strong investor confidence in the underlying collateral quality and the issuer's underwriting standards.

The offering is backed by home equity lines of credit, a secured lending product that allows homeowners to borrow against the equity built up in their properties. HELOC-backed securities have attracted renewed attention from institutional investors as home values have remained elevated across much of the United States, providing deeper collateral cushions relative to loan balances.
An oversubscribed offering indicates that investor orders exceeded the amount of securities available, typically allowing an issuer to tighten pricing or selectively allocate notes to preferred buyers. For a first-time ABS issuer like Aven, the outcome represents a meaningful vote of confidence from capital markets participants evaluating both credit structure and origination quality.
